Man hospitalized after LASD shooting in La Mirada

LA MIRADA — A man was taken to a hospital in unknown condition Tuesday after being shot by a Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy.

Sheriff's officials said the shooting occurred around 1:45 p.m. in the 14700 block of Firestone Boulevard. No deputies were injured.

The circumstances that led to the shooting were unclear. Video from the scene indicated the shooting occurred in a parking lot outside a hotel. One car in the parking lot had visible bullet holes in the rear window.
