Man found shot to death in Norwalk (UPDATED)
Update: The victim was identified as 42-year-old Guillermo Rivera Jr. He was homeless, according to investigators.
NORWALK - A man was found shot to death Wednesday in a riverbed in the Norwalk area.
Deputies were sent to the San Gabriel River between Imperial Highway and Foster Road at about 1 a.m. on a report of a gunshot victim, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.
"Upon arriving, deputies discovered the victim laying unresponsive on the riverbed's concrete," a sheriff's department statement said. "There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time, and the murder weapon remains outstanding."
The man, in his 30s, died at the scene. Information on his identity was not immediately available.
