Junior Girl Scout recognized for holiday charity
NORWALK - Norwalk City Council honored 10-year-old resident Ariana Canada at their meeting on Tuesday.
Canada – a Junior Girl Scout – made a significant difference in the lives of 11 in-need families this past holiday season, providing them a true holiday experience.
Thanks to Canada’s efforts, ten families received gifts for 32 children, four families received full turkey dinners, and nine families grab-and-go bags from a local supermarket.
“This is just simply amazing,” said Mayor Margarita Rios. “One young girl did all that…you make our community so proud. I hope your actions inspire others to lend a person or family in-need a helping hand.”
