Author Herbie Pilato to discuss book at Cerritos Library

CERRITOS – Author Herbie J Pilato discusses his latest book, “The 12 Best Secrets of Christmas: A Treasure House of December Memories Revealed” in the Skyline Room at the Cerritos Library on Tuesday, November 29 at 7 p.m.

Pilato is joined by television actors Dean Butler, Jerry Houser and Caryn Richman.

Writer-producer-actor Pilato’s book is a collection of special real-life holiday memories that invites the reader to embrace, remember, enjoy and connect with the magic of Christmas. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Pilato, who writes for the Television Academy and emmys.com, penned the top-selling pop-culture books “Mary: The Mary Tyler Moore Story”; “Twitch Upon a Star: The Bewitched Life and Career of Elizabeth Montgomery”; “NBC & ME: My Life as a Page in a Book”; “Glamour, Gadgets and the Girl Next Door”; “Dashing”; and “Darrin and Debonair.” He is the host of “Then Again With Herbie J Pilato," which streams on Amazon Prime and Shout! Factory TV.

Butler penned the foreword for the book. He is best known for his roles on the televised classics “Little House on the Prairie” and “The New Gidget.”

Houser, who wrote the book’s introduction, appeared in the movie “The Summer of ’42.” He was the announcer for commercials for the Christmas televised special “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Richman is known for her role as Gidget in “The New Gidget.”
