Active shooter training planned at Metro state hospital

NORWALK – Local law enforcement agencies will be conducting active shooter training Tuesday, June 25, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Metropolitan State Hospital.

The training will simulate an active shooter and emrgency response procedures.

Scheduled to participate are the Sheriff’s Stations from Norwalk and Cerritos, the Office of Protective Services, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The training will be conducted on the northwest portion of the hospital in unoccupied dorms, which is closed from public access.
