NORWALK – Cerritos College will its third community forum of the year Monday to update residents about controversial changes to its property located at 166th Street and Studebaker Road.

Last year, the Cerritos City Council approved the college’s temporary use permit for four years, allowing the college to convert the property from a strawberry field into an automobile storage facility.

The college’s Board of Trustees later passed a resolution to address issues raised by residents and the city, including dust and light mitigation, hours of operation, loading of vehicles, security, and landscaping.

The forum begins at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in room S-202 of the Science Building. Parking passes are available in parking lots 6,7 or 8 for $2, or email grijalva@cerritos.edu for a free parking permit.
